Years ago, there was a Chinese restaurant in Miami called Fong Sha Noon.
I heard that it meant something in Yiddish, but never found out what.
In the printing trade magazines, I used to see ads for a chemical called
Putz Pomade, and wondered what the derivation of the name was.
There used to be a S&S Italian deli, but we called it S&M.
I remember an Empire Chinese Restaurant with really bad food (mine was
burnt). Since it was early in the Reagan administration, I should have
called it the Evil Empire!
