In response to Joe (JTCHEW -at- LML -dot- GOV), who asked about the professional
society for indexers, here's the info: American Society of Indexers
(ASI), P.O. Box 386, Port Aransas, TX 78373 / Telephone: 512-749-4052,
Fax: 512-749-6334, E-mail: asi -at- well -dot- sf -dot- ca -dot- us

The ASI membership fee is $50; it includes a subscription to the ASI
newsletter Key Words as well as to _The Indexer_, published twice a year
by ASI. It also includes membership in a regional chapter of your choice
(there are just over 20 in the U.S. at the present time and more chapters
forming).

BTW, I've created an INDEXFAQ file for TECHWR-L (Eric -- do you still
have it?), and I'll be happy to send it to anyone who requests it (or
I'll post it to this list if there are several requests for it).
