My problem is that I have chapters in the manual which consist of
more than one file. Therefore, when I use the <n>.<n+> method for labeling
paragraphs (heading 1, 2, etc.), I can't get frame to start
the numbering from say, section 4.2
I encountered a similar problem when trying to make the page numbering
in Frame chapters continue in chapters composed of more than one file.
The standard procedure is, of course, to use the SET UP FILE option
that is found in the FILE menu of the book. However, the "gotcha" here
is that, after you've SET UP the page or paragraph numbering to
continue from one file to the next, *YOU MUST REGENERATE THE BOOK*.
To do this, pull down the FILE menu again, select GENERATE/UPDATE
(I'm working in Frame v4, so there may be slight descrpencies in
titles here) and select UPDATE.
