I remember seeing an announcement within the past week about an updated
version of "Big Dummy's Guide to the Internet" available via FTP from
FTP.EFF.ORG and, if I remember correctly, the directory was
/Pub/Net_Guide/Update (or, if that's not it *exactly*, it's pretty close).

Also, FTP.EFF.ORG (the Electronic Frontiers Foundation) has several
versions now, including one for Mac users.
