Chris,

We have been using Transverter Pro here at Motorola's Paging Products
Group "tech pubs" organization for about a year and love it! Not only
do we use it to convert raw PostScript dumps from our CAD system (a
combination of Cadence/Valid/Allegro/Concept for electrical design,
but also ProEngineer and Unigraphics for mechanical design), to editable
Adobe Illustrator-format EPS files. We also use it to convert PC board
overlays to MacDraw format for the factory, so they can do their own
build aids.

If you ever need to extract a drawing from a document and no longer have
the source file, this product is also a gem! Just print the file to a
PostScript file, and extract the illustration information in Adobe
Illustrator!

Transverter Pro has saved our behinds countless times. Another great
utility is Cad Mover (Kandu Software of Falls Church, VA) that we use
to convert HPGL files to Adobe Illustrator EPS format files.

It does like memory, though. Make sure you have plenty of RAM assigned
to it. You won't be sorry.

To sum up, Transverter Pro is one of the main tools in our document
conversion arsenal (along with Cad Mover, TScript, DeBabelizer, PhotoShop,
and several shareware utilities).

Hope this helps!

Larry Grinnell
