PS across the net

Sending files across networks is very dangerous. That is,
lots of stuff could go wrong. I don't know hardware, but

o Make sure you have compatible setups--hw & sw
all configured right.
o Always send data BINARY. (Oh how you will be sorry
if you don't!)
o If everything checks out and other things go without
problems, try breaking your document (or whatever) in
pieces and sending them individually.
o You might also try slow periods on the net (if it means
that much to you to get up at 3 am). Lots more bandwidth
then.
o Ask people who have done it before. (Thank goodness for
TECHWR-L!)
