Well, yes, there are hardware writers out here.

I have been documenting hardware for more than 15 years. I have
written user, installation, configuration, and service manuals
for test and measurement equipment, data acquisition systems, and
distance/position measuring equipment.

Over the years, however, I find the hardware documentation is
tending to become "firmware" documentation. The actual hardware
is becomming secondary.

I would be interested in a discussion of this topic. Perhaps
direct replies to e-mail to avoid loading the list?
