Here's my suggestion:
Traffic on an end-to-end pair is assigned to a segment pair
only when there is a one-to-one correspondence between
the segments and the end points.
Or if you need more clarification:
Traffic on an end-to-end pair is assigned to a segment pair
only when there is a one-to-one correspondence between
the segments (of the segment pair) and the end points (of
the end-to-end pair).
