We are very pleased to be able to offer an educational workshop by a
leader in the field of human factors design. In this seminar, William
Gribbons, Ph.D., will discuss the cognitive, perceptual, ergonomic, and
cultural theory that is a preequisite to usable information design.
In addition, he will discuss design considerations and user needs as
they relate to making the transition from paper books to electronic
information.
Dr. Gribbons coordinates the Visual Communication Program at Bentley
College, Waltham, Massachusetts. He received his Ph.D. in Education and
Visual Communication from the University of Maryland. Dr. Gribbons has
over fifteen years of graphic design, consulting, and teaching experience.
He serves as President of the Boston Chapter of the Society for Technical
Communication, is a frequent speaker at local and international conferences,
and has published numerous research articles on information design.
