Get copyright permission. Single reprint rights, specifically.
Your local newspaper has the address of the syndicate who distributes
Doonesbury. Contact them and, through the syndicate people, the
Artist's Agent. Consider the dire consequences if a copy is seen by the
public or filters back to the publication syndicate.

Besides, those cartoons are someone's copyrighted creation, they
deserve to have you uphold those rights. You get paid to write, they
should get paid for their art.
