Just for fun, I looked in the American Heritage Dictionary--the first edition
that has all the wonderful Indo-European root stuff. A slash, it sez, can also
be called a virgule, a shilling, or a solidus. And next time I wanna make my
readers feel really STUPID, I think I'll use ALL those words.

Damn language.
