The style checker I like is Readable, developed by Scandinavian PC
Systems, Inc. (51 Monroe Street, Suite 1101, Rockville, MD 20850 /
301-294-7453). It's quite inexpensive -- $25.00, I believe -- and it
includes a Flesch index, fog index, etc. It works great with
several types of software, including WordPerfect. Also, it uses the
type of document you specify (general, children's book, advertising,
magazine article, novel, technical document, etc.)
