I'm a rhetorician by degree, and a writer by profession. I haven't done
anything formal on audience analysis, but would be happy to 'talk' to you about
it off-line if you care to send me a message by regular e-mail. There has been
a lot of discussion about audience analysis in this list over the past couple
of months - you might want to retrieve the logs from the listserver and review
them. If I remember correctly, Bonni Graham has had quite a bit to say about
audience analysis in the recent technical vs. writing background for a tech
writer...
