I've seen a few replies to this go by already. Most tended to be either
a) somebody who knows the technology, because it's easier to teach somebody
writing than technology, or b) somebody who knows writing, because it's
easier to teach somebody technology than writing.
** Technology, at the level where most technical writers deal with it, is
just a pile of information. Writing, at any level, is an art. It has
a lifetimeful of rules, and no rules. Pardon any politically incorrect
elitism, but I see no contest here.
