If you don't need the AV capabilities *now* (or before early-to-mid-1994),
then follow the computer-buyer's rule of thumb and wait. The PowerPC
Macs won't be available until March 94 at the earliest (last I heard
from Apple, anyway, this date may have changed).
When the PowerPCs are actually available, you can decide whether the
PowerPC Mac does what you need, or choose an AV system (which'll likely
be cheaper/faster/better than now), or wait for the next announced,
newest-wonderfullest system, which will no doubt be available
several months in the future.
