Phillip,

There are a few options. There are a couple of hotels that are either on the
same block or within walking distance for about $79-$85/night. If you need
to go even less expensive and you have your own transportation, stay across
the bridge in New Jersey. The commute is very short and this route will drop
you into the center of town rather than having to drive through town.

To help your search, go to your local AAA office and get a Pennsylvania
and New Jersey Tour Book (it's one book) and a map of Philadelphia, PA, and
NJ. This should give you some resources and help orient you to the area.
If you're not an AAA member, I think AAA will sell these items to you for a
nominal amount of money.
