Subject:Horton's Laws of the Publication From:Irene Plokar <plokar -at- TOULOUSE -dot- VIRTUALPROTOTYPES -dot- CA> Date:Wed, 11 Aug 1993 14:12:18 -0400
Horton's Law #2 says:
"The more important a piece of information, the less available it is."
I would also add the following:
"After you get rid of all your review drafts, someone will come along asking
to see one of the drafts, or claiming that they never said that, or wanting
to know who said that."
By the way, the older the piece of information, the more likely it will be
requested. The drafts you most recently filed away are never asked for. It
is the ones that have reached their burial grounds.
By the way, the May 1993 issue of the STC journal (page 318) includes a list
of Horton's laws for Online Documentation.
