What you said, was, I quote verbatim:
"I'm just objecting to your insistence that the K15t toolchain that
worked great for me has problems I know from experience it does not
have."

What you are saying in other words that you doubt the experience someone actually made with these plugins and posted here...including myself, by the way.

You may want to look around, in the respective communities you find heaps of posts to that effect. There are issues with these as well as other plugins.
Confluence as well as its plugins, k15t's as well as nay other can create issues. Some of them are even posted with any release.

The major stumbling block for me is like this:
Confluence is NOT a HAT, it is not and never was developed with technical writing in mind. Any solutions available are always like building blocks for kids: attach something and hope it works.
It is a great tool for a wiki!

In other words: It's like using your gardening shears to mow the lawn: it's the wrong tool.

I would also have a problem with saying something like that, which is
why I did not.

It's as if I said "You can't create professional-quality PDFs with
Flare." I can easily see how someone might have gotten that impression
(and if PDFs are your primary or only deliverable, Flare might not be
the right tool for the job), but you know from experience that it's
not true.
