It is unwise to retain docs past their legal retention period. If they get
a subpena for docs, and they have them even if the retention is expired,
they have to produce them, whereas if they had been destroyed on schedule,
they are indemnified.

Are you having issues finding everything you think is there? I started
using a search application called X-1 Search...the best $95 application I
have ever invested in, and it will pre-index shared folders and SP sites.
