Hi all,

I'm between jobs, and thinking about going freelance. I've been working
remotely the last few years, and would love to put together jobs that keep
my flexibility, and avoid going into an office every day.

I've noticed that a number of people on this list are freelance, and wonder
if you have any tips for an experienced writer/project manager, who is a
newbie freelancer. Where are good places to get jobs? Networking tips? Is
incorporation necessary, or can you just be registered as a DBA? Any other
pitfalls, or must-dos?

I've thought about this in the past, but finally am willing to bite the
bullet and put in the time. When I've asked people I know who freelance,
their advice has always been "it is a lot of work to get it up and
running," so I know what I'm getting into. Unfortunately, their advice has
not been practical, just that it is a lot of work!

Thanks in advance.

Shari
