TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
That hasn't been my experience. I believe only Acrobat Reader is needed in
order to comment on shared review PDFs.
But the problem people sometimes encounter is that they can only add
comments once they open the PDF file in the Reader application itself
(which, for me, means saving the PDF file locally and opening it in
Reader).
As far as I know you cannot comment on a PDF file that you have opened in
your web browser, only one you are viewing with the Acrobat Reader software.
