Subject:Re: Windows 10 or not? (possibly OT) From:David Farbey <david -at- farbey -dot- co -dot- uk> To:TECHWR-L Writing <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Sat, 26 Mar 2016 10:12:38 +0000
I have run several Windows 10 installations without encountering any
significant problems.
However, many of the default installation settings are there to make the OS
a platform for sharing "relevant" advertisements with you. That may hamper
your productivity (to say the least). Before you install Windows 10 I
suggest you read some of the information out there on how to switch off
most of the default installation settings that will help you minimise that
sort of behaviour. Search for "stop Windows 10 adverts" or "stop Windows 10
spying" and then choose whichever source you think is most reliable for
advice.
