Adobe's "cloud" versions of PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.
aren't web applications. They're installed locally but have a
subscription model so they stop working if you stop paying and there's
no tech support except for the latest release.

Microsoft has no-installation web versions of some of their Office
apps (Office Live), locally installed subscription versions like
Adobe's (Office 365), and regular old pay-once-use-forever installed
software (Office Home and Business).

I just bought a new PC with 64-bit Windows 7. That's what most large
organizations with conservative software approval policies are using.
They mostly skipped 8 and 8.1, and 10 is still too new, large
organizations typically don't adopt new versions of Windows until
they've been out for over a year.
