Many years ago, I learned not to get invested in resume submissions... it's too much of an emotional torment. I now consider any resume submission as "over the transom <http://www.aboutfreelancewriting.com/articles/gettingstarted/QAoverthetransom.htm>" with little, if any, likelihood of even a response. Like the guy selling the rotisserie on television used to say... "set it and forget it."

Best Regards,

Mike

I don't like double submissions either. I've lost out on some good projects
because some agency submitted my name without my permission. This is how I
found out that this practice occurs: My selected agency submitted my name to
a project and was rejected because my name had already been submitted. Some
agency submitted my name without my permission. I never was able to find out
who that agency was.

On a related issue, I believe it is wrong when a company doesn't tell you
that someone else was selected for the role. You sit in limbo for weeks not
knowing that the role has been filled.

Hope this helps,

Will
