Additionally, this issue should not even arise in a properly constituted

There is no marketing department. There is (was?) me. I got overwhelmed
with duties so they hired someone with some marketing experience. Now she
(and I, to a lesser degree) is the "department."

We're trying our best to figure it out as we go.
