I look in later pages when I think that the results are skewed by popularity or my previous searches. This is especially true when I am searching for something that is recently in the news and I want to know what people were saying before it became news. I also search for partial thoughts when I am trying to find some related term to improve a search for something that I can't get right. This occurs occasionally in my searches for grammar rules. I can't think of any examples right now.
