On most of my web pages I used "select". I assumed, possibly incorrectly,
that modern web users are accustomed to "select" using whatever interface
or implement they preferred.
However, when we reviewed our web pages, we noticed there was little
engagement on the pages where "select" was used. As an experiment we
changed the text to read "click or tap". We'll have to watch for improved
click through metrics.
