Re: Adobe shifts to subscriptions for software package

All these subscription and cloud-based services assume that one has unlimited broadband access to the net. Not everybody lives in a big city or has cable internet available to them.

We live 500 yards too far from the nearest DSL node, and so have to have a satellite internet connection, which is strictly metered to just so much a day. We have the largest non-commercial connection, and regularly have to pay $10/day to reset our connection or we're downgraded to dialup speeds for 24 hours. I consider this a business expense, but I grudge it every time I have to reset our connection.
