This is the same vernacular that pushes "bold-faced lie" to

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin, know that I love you, but "bald-faced" is not replaced by "bold-faced," it is replaced by "bold face," like the font. "Bold-faced" has no meaning, although people may say it like they say words like, "towards," instead of "toward," or "simular," instead of "similar." One can only hope they spell these things correctly in documents.

The vernacular, it seems, is largely driven by ignorance, laziness,
arrogance, and possibly embarrassment.

"Bald-faced" embarrassment?

"I got all these people to agree with me, so I'm not wrong.
Every opinion is as valid as every other, especially when
lots of people think so.
If I'm not wrong, then I wasn't wrong.
So there.

Logik. "

If'n ya aks moi, irregardless of what dem peeps be sayin', the roll of language is hella cool!

[hoi freakin' why didn't spellcheck flag "irregardless"?]

And, fergawdsake, don't get me started on "from whence".
That should be a shooting offence. :-)

To whomever are you speaking?

And the next moron who quotes "The first thing we do, we
shoot all the lawyers" to imply "lawyers are bad"... well, see
previous paragraph.

You don't shoot the lawyers because they are "bad"; you shoot them because they can outwit you.

Aaaargh! It's endless! It's slopping in from all sides!

Now there's an interesting lack of paragraphing.
