The issue I see is that the charter is about email and we are on a
discussion/information list. There is a difference. If we were on a forum,
the volume would increase even more.



I agree about the thank you in email to acknowledge receipt of information
or help. In a discussion group, it can probably be eliminated as an
unnecessary message.



As writers, we should be concerned with the volume and other characteristics
of what we write. I don't offend easily. I get offended more by the 5th or
10th resend of some feel good email with cutesy pictures in it because
someone forgot that they sent it 3 months ago.
