There's no way of knowing who wrote this, because those were also the days
when engineers and designers were expected to know how to write and the
document production process included editors, artists, photographers, page
designers, camera/litho operators and typesetters. I was an engineer at
the tail end of this era in the 1970's, and the company I worked for had no
"technical writers." but about a dozen copy editors rewriting text from the
engineering and marketing departments before it went on to production..
