Windows 7 and PDF thumbnails

Subject: Windows 7 and PDF thumbnails

I have an extensive library of PDFs that I use for my teaching and
research, and I find viewing thumbnails a quick way to spot the PDF I'm
looking for (can see the main title, tell if it's a journal article, etc.)

I've just gotten a new computer with Windows 7, and find that I can't view
the PDF thumbnails anymore. I've looked at various user forums on the
Internet, and have found some explanations, but no satisfactory solution.
Does anyone know if there is a solution that doesn't involve messing with
the registry or something equally complicated? Some of the fixes involved
Acrobat Reader, but I don't even have Reader on this machine--just Acrobat
Pro 9. Is there a fix coming soon?

Thanks,
Kaye Adkins
