Monique, you beat me to it!

I just came back to the computer intending to post exactly the same thing. Many companies do indeed run internet searches on potential employees' online activity before hiring, and while I'm not suggesting there's anything in Kari's post that should reflect negatively on her (on the contrary, it shows her to be a conscientious employee concerned about doing her job properly), it's as well to be aware of the fact that these discussions - and all the information in any signature you provide - are public.
