That's also my experience (though I haven't tickled AutoCAD
since the early 1990s and used far less of it than you did).
I would be no better at AutoCAD if you plunked me down
in front of it now, than if I'd never seen it 20 years
ago. It's that forgotten and that different by now.
So, I always take with a BIG grain of salt the resumé
(and website) claims of people who are proficient with
a dozen different publication and illustration apps.
Yup, you might _be_ more proficient than I with
XYZ program, that you used two contracts ago, for
four months in 2009. But the ones you've listed that
you haven't seen since 2003? Not likely you retain
much... unless... sorry.... did you say you were
from Krypton? My mistake. I guess some people do
retain everything they ever touch. No half-life of
skills-retention for them.
But why does anybody in the top percentiles of human
cognitive capability wanna be a mere tw, anyway?
Shouldn't they be saving the world or at least
coming close to nabbing that blasted Road Runner?
