I've ever noticed any significant differences.  The development model has nothing to do with the needs of the documentation.  You still need to have the same kinds of information in the user guide, and the online help still has to be built in the same structure.  And, most software people still couldn't care less about documentation, so getting time to interview SMEs under RUP is just as difficult as it was under the old fashioned waterfall model.  The development model used does not change the fact that getting people to do a tech review of your work is still nearly impossible.

I've seen job postings requesting SDLC experience for tech writers. I've worked within software delivery cycles, but have never been aware of a name for the particular methodology being employed.

For those that have worked under a strict standard methodology, how does it impact your technical writing? For instance, how does your documentation differ between an Agile development vs Scrum vs Unified Process?

Thanks in advance.
