TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
There is a wealth of information on the STC Usability SIG page. I believe I
found some good material there last year when I was working out the same
issue.
Sorry I can't dig around there for you at the moment, but it's probably best
if you look around (and feel free to send a message to their list as well).
You have a better idea of the arguments and concerns at your place of
business, so should be able to find the most relevant materials for your
environment.
