Yes, Tony is absolutely right. "Multi User" was always something of a
misnomer, as plain ordinary WordPress always supported multiple blogs from a
single installation, with an excellent permissions scheme so that multiple
authors could participate in different pages/blogs/etc. MU's purpose was for
setting up blog networks, both public (like WordPress.com) or on a corporate
intranet.

Now I have to go make a note for the next edition (fingers crossed) to cover
this better. ;-)
