Surveying user opinion of online help and user manuals
Subject:Surveying user opinion of online help and user manuals From:Margaret Gerard-AUS <Margaret -dot- Gerard -at- jeppesen -dot- com> To:TECHWR-L <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Mon, 15 Mar 2010 10:46:25 +1000
I want to take a survey of the users working for one of our clients to find out their opinions of the online help and user manuals we create.
I thought I remembered a thread on this subject but a search of the archives did not return any results. (I searched on user opinion, user feedback, surveying users etc, etc,.)
Do any of you do this type of investigation? Do you have any advice on how to conduct such a survey or how to frame survey questions about help usage in order to get informative responses?
Thanks,
Margaret
