I had a plug in for MS Word that rated writing based on Plain English
standards - I found it very helpful for avoiding overly-obnoxious
academia-speak (read a lot of it - try not to write in it). I had a hard
drive crash and while i was pretty good with back-ups - this one got lost.
I've checked out WordDog - but that does not sound familiar at all. As
i recall, the programmers were British (if that's a clue.) I'd like to
see if they'd give me a new license - if I can figure out who "they" are.
Have any of you used a plug-in like this? Does it sound at all
familiar? Any clues to who the publisher may be?
