You've hit my pet peeve. The early days of the web was like the wild
west, with everyone competing to make it match their browser, rather
than the other way around. As a designer, I had to keep copies of the
most popular browsers (IE X.X), but only because they didn't follow
the emerging standards (blink tag, anyone?)

Nice to see IE 8 finally complies with CSS 2. It only took MS 10
years. I still prefer Firefox, the successor to Netscape.

Chrome's nice, but a little late to the party.
