Once upon a time in a universe close to where I live now I worked for a
company that produced Lisp Machines. (Yes, there was more than one.) At the
time of this story all the tech writers had been laid off and I had been
transferred from documentation to be half of a 2 person QA and Release
group. We did software releases and some QA and bug fixing of those bugs
considered not worth their time by the developers. It was the policy of this
company to send the full system source code to customers -- this was Lisp
after all. So, after one government customer reported finding the F-word in
the source code comments we needed to go through a get rid of (as we called
this bug) All-Fs-in-system. In response, at least one developer then found
it amusing to keep using this word in his comments but with creative
spellings.

And yes, it was a really great company and an amazing place to work and I
still miss it.
