Excellent and welcome guidance, but not quite detailed enough.

Yes, the drawings appear to have been inserted as objects, but in your
step 3, I am offered "Save Copy As", not simple "Save" or "Save As".  So,
I guess your instructions should cite "save copy as"?

Logically, I suppose I should save in VDX, not VSD form (because we are
proceeding down the I18N/L10N path, and the DITA document is likely to be
passing through translation.
