One of the department heads I was chatting with at a job interview
last week mentioned that he had previously worked for the company's
only direct competitor. I said, "Oh, I applied for a job there."

"How did the interview go?"

"They never contacted me."

He looked at my resume, looked at me, looked back at my resume, and
after a pause said, "They have some, ah, interesting people there."

To top it off, I just saw that same job relisted for the fourth time
since April. This time they made one change, replacing one help
authoring tool with another.
