I am VERY new to PaintShop Pro X2, and there are at least two techniques which I need easy-to-understand information about.

1. I need to take an existing line art image and drop out the background and then import it into a FrameMaker 8.0 document. While I THOUGHT that I'd successfully done that after getting an EPS image with a checkered background, the FrameMaker document still prints out with the image and a white background where the image resides. I had read about the nebulous concept (to me) of "clipping paths", but nothing I've seen is very clear on it or applicable to PSP X2. I had a friend successfully walk me through it on the phone while I was using Photoshop at home, but I have only PaintShop Pro X2 at the office. And the PSP help file is of no real use to me.

For all I know, PSP X2 will do everything I need, but the terms are so different. It's almost like one person saying "Walk straight to the door and open it to go outside," while another person says, "Place one foot in front of the other 15 times to travel forward, then rotate the knob on the movable panel and push it forward to exit."

2. Can and how are vector images created in PSP X2?
