Yes!

There are as many answers to that question as there are occasions to need instruction. Or something like that.

But I think we're getting to the very point of online forums. This list is a social interaction, in which over time each of us learns how to get the best answer(s) from all the responses offered, based on many factors in this community. My office is another community, and here I learn, over time, who can best answer each type of question.

If my question to this list is about the latest understanding about how cognition is affected by a particular point of usage, I'd hope to hear an opinion from Dr. David. If my question is more about standard practices in the field of technical communication, such as "are most people calling this thing a 'dialog box' still?" I'd get the best answer from consensus.
