TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Acrobat 8 3D or (some version of) Acrobat 9 lets you do some really cool
things
In Acro 8 3D they include a toolkit-
Import a 3D model
create 2D renders
Create animated 3D exploded views that carry into a PDF that Reader can
view and use!
Turn objects within the model on or off so you can see what you want to.
- I'm not sure about cutaways.
- and probably more.
Worth considering.
