Freeform pasting in Word?

Is there a way to set the properties of a DOC in advance, such that anything
pasted into it is "freeform" by default? That is, we want to make it so the
user doesn't have to right-click each object, then choose *Format ____* > *
Layout* > *Square* > *OK*. Any ideas?
