Afterword? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afterword

How about Postscript? I am not sure whether this one fits the bill exactly
either though.

Some others said 'colophon' and that makes sense, except that it does sound
really high falllutin'.

The Wikipedia article on book design might be helpful too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_design

It sounds as though you are looking for the name of the little statement
that is like this: 'This booklet was produced with Xerox Publish! using 12
pt Arial and 12 pt TNR'. I forgot what that statement is called; it seems
that it used to be in manuals, somewhere in the 'front matter' years ago,
but they don't stick to the convention anymore.

If that statement went in the front somewhere then it could not be called an
afterword I suppose; colophon sounds right.

Ps John, I sent you a couple of messages off-list about the nl of the NYC
STC chapter. I have a (Not so well-maintained) blog about cartooning at
cartoons-jim.blogspot.com. My sketches on that page exhibit a certain aspect
of my style.

that describes the font, layout application, and everything about how
the publication is designed and formatted.

I thought I knew the answer, but a search on Google only give me
millions of pages on cookware...
