If an employee, I would probably not say anything
unless the person attempted to use the inflated
credentials within the company (potential legal
issues), and would hope the person succeeds
in finding a new job ASAP. Of course I would
not be willing to provide references in this case,
either, though I doubt that I'd be asked to.

Otherwise, I would talk to the person about it, and
if he or she was intent on continuing it, delete any
network connection there might be to my own profile
and be sure it is understood that I should not be
used as a reference. I may not be able to dissaude
others from unethical behavior, but I don't have to
participate in it.
