For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. Beware, however, that it does not appear to have been updated recently,
so I
don't know what its long term prognosis is. That breaks one of my basic
rules
about tools (avoid orphans and old-timers), but when I looked for tools,
I was
surprised to find relatively few out there. This one worked well, so I
didn't
look much further.
I suspect that one reason may be that a lot of low cost web hosting
services
feature a built-in web site builder, so it may be that the need is
relatively
small for most folks. In fact, if you are looking for a web site for
yourself,
you may want to just sign up with a service that offers this feature.
